Mississauga, Ontario – Dedicated Route
**Schedule:**Monday to Friday, 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM
**Experience Required:**Minimum 2 years of commercial driving
**Additional Requirements:**Hand bombing and tailgate deliveries using a pump cart
About the Role
Cardinal Couriers is seeking a motivated AZ Driver to join our team. In this role, you will load orders into an assigned company vehicle and follow a predetermined route to ensure all deliveries are completed safely and on time. This is a fast paced and physically demanding position involving driving, lifting, lowering, and carrying packages to maintain damage free delivery.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Safely operate and maneuver heavy trucks while following all traffic laws.
- Transport goods over long-distance or local routes and ensure on-time delivery.
- Load cargo securely and ensure it is properly fastened to prevent shifting.
- Unload shipments and verify quantities against delivery documents.
- Navigate unfamiliar routes confidently and efficiently.
- Perform pre trip and post trip inspections (tires, brakes, lights, etc.)
- Report any mechanical issues or required maintenance.
- Maintain accurate driving logs, mileage records, and rest documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
- Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions.
- Follow all safety protocols and report incidents or violations immediately.
Who You Are
- Minimum 2 years with a valid AZ License.
- 2–3 years of commercial driving experience.
- Clean driver’s abstract and CVOR.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License.
- Previous warehouse shipping/receiving experience (asset).
- Ability to perform duties safely and in compliance with company policies.
- Independent, reliable, and self motivated.
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable meeting deadlines.
- Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Organized and able to maintain a clean work environment.
