The Town of Plympton-Wyoming is comprised of lakefront, agricultural, and urban properties, offering a wide range of facilities and services to provide its residents with a comfortable community in which to live and to work.
We are a community with a population of 8,308, located within the north central portion of Lambton County in Southwestern Ontario. Fronting on the shores of Lake Huron, Plympton-Wyoming boasts accessibility to Highway 402 for convenient travel to Sarnia, London, Toronto, and the U.S.A.
The Town of Plympton-Wyoming currently has a seasonal winter contract opportunity available within the Public Works Department for a part-time Winter Patroller. The successful candidate will report to the Working Roads Foreman and/or the Working Utilities Foreman. The 2025 hourly wage range for a Winter Patroller is $22.77 - $28.46. Wage for the position will be determined by the applicant’s demonstrated experience and abilities.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Class DZ driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety act and other applicable legislation/codes/acts.
Hours of Work: This position will work varied hours on an as-needed basis and must generally be available at all times from mid-December to mid-March. Additionally, each of the successful candidates will generally perform the following duties of a
- Roads Patroller (Typically 12-15 hours per week minimum).
