We are growing our team and looking for a skilled and motivated Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic with B620 Tank Inspection Experience to join our fly-in/fly-out rotation. What You’ll Be Doing:
-
Diagnose, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty trucks, trailers, medium-duty vehicles, and off-road equipment.
-
Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and air system repairs.
-
Inspect and repair trailers, including brakes, suspensions, wiring, and structural components.
-
Complete preventative maintenance and ensure all equipment is operating safely.
-
Identify issues and recommend repair solutions and replacement parts.
-
Use computerized diagnostic tools for troubleshooting engine and system faults.
-
Complete detailed repair reports and communicate findings for accurate work orders.
-
Work safely and efficiently in varied weather conditions and remote locations.
-
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
Additional Duties for B620 Tank Inspection (Propane Tanks):
-
Conduct periodic visual inspections of propane tank trucks and trailers per CSA B620 standards
-
Perform leak testing, pressure testing, and thickness testing on TC portable tanks and cargo tanks
-
Document inspection findings and ensure compliance with Transport Canada regulations
-
Maintain accurate inspection records and certification documents
-
Liaise with regulatory bodies and stay current with industry standards and changes in B620 regulations
What We’re Looking For:

Journeyman/Red Seal certification (required)
-
B620 Tank Inspector Certification (or willingness to obtain; training support may be available for the right candidate)

Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy-duty mechanic
-
Experience inspecting propane tanks and pressure vessels is an asset
-
Safety-focused mindset and ability to work independently
-
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (clean abstract required)

Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
-
Comfortable using diagnostic tools and basic computer programs
-
Ability to work in all weather conditions and remote environments
