Summary This position supports the Procurement and Sourcing team functions in a food manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Procurement Director, the Procurement Analyst will be focused on supply chain data analysis, market research, categories analytics and reporting, as well as procurement data management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide analytics and reporting to aid in contract and price negotiations, including the identification, analysis and interpretation of market trends or patterns.
- Contracts volume requirements forecasting through historical and forecasted MRP data analysis.
- Provide commodities cost analysis; fundamental and technical, contract costs and market costs and trends to executive team.
- Commodities cost components, forecasting, and analyzing price proposals (RFQ) and summarize results.
- Procurement documents – data management and reporting, including market trends, purchase price and spend analysis.
- Process requisitions and issue purchase orders, purchasing, and planning system updates.
- Communication with internal and external partners on requirements within the supply chain process.
- Assist with sourcing new commodity/raw material or packaging as needed.
- Other projects as assigned.
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ recent analytical experience preferably in Procurement or Finance.
- Experience in buying commodities within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- University Degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance.
- Advanced Excel level, and strong math/analytical skills.
- Familiar with SAP or an ERP/MRP process is required.
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Creative thinker, seeks out solutions to problems and opportunities for improvement.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently at times.
- Strong attention to accuracy and quality of data, and diligent in seeking accurate and reliable source data.
- Familiar with general contract terms and conditions and commodities cost structure is an asset.
