Your Next Challenge Reporting to the Community Relations and Communications Superintendent, you will be part of the Community Relations & Communications Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Develop strategy and complete meaningful community engagement activities where required to support our Hope Bay Project;
- Develop strategy to foster collaboration and engage with Kitikmeot local organizations;
- Plan and organize Kitikmeot community events and donations initiatives;
- Plan and organize Employment Information Sessions and Community Based Training Initiatives;
- Plan and participate in the Kitikmeot Socio-Economic Monitoring Committee;
- Complete reporting associated with community activities;
- Ensure compliance with our Inuit Impact and Benefit Agreement (internal auditing, completion of actions, reporting);
- Supervise and obtain support from the Cambridge Bay Community Liaison Officer to complete above mentioned activities;
- Work in collaboration with the Director Nunavut Affairs (Kitikmeot).
What You Need To Succeed
- 5-10 years of experience completing community engagement and/or managing Impact and Benefit Agreement;
- 2 years experience managing personnel;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
Note that the official working language at our Nunavut operations is English.
Your Work Schedule
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday at our Cambridge Bay Office, Yellowknife or the Edmonton area and working 50% of the time from our Cambridge Bay office.
