We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant who is passionate about delivering high-quality accounting support and contributing to our team's success!
How will you contribute to the team?
The Accountant plays a key role in providing accurate and timely accounting support to the KenWave team.
Specific accountabilities include:
Accounting:
-
Work with the Project Manager to prepare billings for the client and process in the accounting system
-
Oversees project receivable and cash application
-
Preparing various documents to assist client payments
-
Works with appropriate parties to conduct periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets
-
Prepares weekly cash disbursement summary for cash management purposes
-
Process monthly credit card and expense statements
-
Distribute invoices to different parties for approval on a timely basis
-
Process payments to suppliers/employees accurately and promptly
-
Respond to questions from suppliers, subtrades, internal customers regarding documents and payments
-
Preparing supplier credit reference documents
-
Maintain up-to-date filing system of all invoices
-
Track residency status for non-Canadian suppliers for tax withholding purpose
-
Assists with HST and QST compilation for further review and filling
-
Assists with income tax compilation of various schedules
Purchasing:
-
Issue purchase orders for the procurement of materials and supplies
-
Prepare documentation for import/export
General Administration:
-
Assist with annual insurance renewal process where applicable
-
Prepare documentation for couriers
-
Assist with the preparation of correspondence as required
Education & Skill Requirements:
-
Minimum 2 years experience in Accounting
-
Must have experience with AP, AR, Reconciliations
-
Advanced Level with Microsoft Excel and Word
-
Good interpersonal and communication skills
-
Ability to meet deadlines and set priorities effectively
Working Conditions:
This is an office-based position.
