Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

Work Assignment:INFO6610 Information Policy

The sessional instructor will teach the online elective course Information Policy (INFO 6610) in the Master of Information (MI) program in the**2026 Summer term.**The online course is scheduled for one 3-hour period per week May to Aug 2026.

All instructors report to the Director of the Program. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. Course syllabi are available upon request.

Qualifications/Requirements of Position

DUAL MLIS degree (or similar) and MPA degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in Information Policy. Previous graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.

All offers of employment as a part-time academic are conditional upon sufficient student enrolment in the courses and approval by the University.

Salary Range/Pay Rate

$8,260 per course (In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement)
