The Training Coordinator develops and maintains site-specific training materials, provides adult learning guidance to others when designing or updating training courses, and ensures these resources are available as required by the employees. They play a key role in supporting Nutrien initiatives, collaborating with global and technical training teams, as well as contributing to site-specific programs aimed at developing employee capabilities.
This position is located at Nutrien's Redwater, Alberta, approximately 40 km northeast of Edmonton.
What You'll Do:
- Verify mandatory safety training, general training, and onboarding tasks are assigned as per training plans.
- Facilitate or coordinate facilitation for instructor led training.
- Oversee the site progression programs to ensure they are functional and report progress and exceptions to progression owners.
- Working with the hiring leader and site administrator for all new hires to ensure all training requirements are captured in the Learning Management System and the onboarding activities are scheduled and facilitated.
- Content owner/caretaker/developer for general/mandatory training and onboarding training at their site.
- Training budget oversight for site training needs, follow site level external registration processes and input into site training budget.
- Facilitate training in a classroom/controlled environment, donning PPE, etc.
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma, preferred post-secondary diploma, degree or recognized trade designation
- Preferred Certification in adult education
- 5+ years experience in industrial facility
- Currently holding or working towards a professional designation (CPTM, CIT, CLDP) is considered an asset
- Proven proficiency in written and verbal communications with a strong background in a variety of computer software programs (including Microsoft suite, Adobe).
- Demonstrated capability in the design, development, planning and/or delivery of training programs and systems
- Knowledge and experience with an LMS and computer-based training (CBT) programs is an asset
