Job Summary & Requirements RVH has the largest surgical program in the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network (NSM LHIN) with 65% of surgeons and approximately 80,000 surgical cases annually. As the Patient Services Clerk you will be is responsible for reception, surgical bookings, reorganization of the surgical tracker, reviewing/printing surgical pick sheets for the surgical team, communication with surgical staff/units throughout hospital, ensuring flow maintained for the Operating Room suites, and strong communication with all members of the surgical team and multiple areas of the hospital.

As a qualified candidate you will have the following job requirements:

• Medical Office Administration Certificate/Diploma or Equivalent Program essential
• Medical Terminology Course
• Office administration experience in a hospital environment or equivalent
• Computer literacy - Microsoft Office – essential II. Keyboarding skills – 50wpm – essential
• Current experience with Meditech SUR, including registration, EMR, order entry and appointment scheduling an asset
