Empire Roofing Corporation is seeking an experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Mississauga. We are a busy construction/roofing company serving the industrial and commercial sectors. For over 40 years, Empire Roofing Corporation has continued to grow our workforce and is seeking individuals for full-time, year-round employment. Primary Responsibilities
-
Service, maintain, and repair small engines and construction equipment (cutters, generators, compressors, etc.).

Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire changes, and minor repairs.

Drive to job sites to troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.

Conduct inspections, preventative maintenance, and safety checks.

Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in a safe, working condition.

Complete documentation for service and repairs performed.

Support shop operations and assist roofing crews when required.
Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience with small engines and vehicles.

Valid Working at Heights certificate (mandatory).
-
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
-
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Ability to work independently and travel to job sites.

Safety-oriented with excellent attention to detail.

Physically capable of performing a demanding role involving lifting, bending, and standing.
Tools & Equipment Used

Small engine repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
-
Hand and power tools.
-
Company vehicles for travel to job sites.
Work Environment

Team-oriented setting focused on precision, safety, and timeliness.

Work is primarily performed in an indoor fabrication/repair shop.

Occasional travel to job sites and on-roof support if needed.
