About Us Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate automated controls to move product between barges, storage silos, and bulk cement trucks.
- Perform and document preventative maintenance, repairs, and future repair planning while maintaining strong housekeeping standards.
- Generate accurate terminal performance documentation using programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Communicate effectively with employees, contractors, and stakeholders through verbal, text, and email correspondence, including managing contractors on-site.
- Support accurate order fulfillment, identify solutions to order issues, and contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives and other duties as required.
What We Are Looking For
- Ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial or distribution environment, including at heights and with regular lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Solid understanding of Health and Safety procedures and commitment to following them.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to changing work conditions.
- Troubleshooting abilities to support maintenance activities, supported by completion of a High School Diploma.
Conditions of Employment
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.
Work Environment
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
