As a Project Control Officer (PCO) in the Industrial team at Pomerleau Construction, you will define and manage cost and schedule control, risk management, contract administration and document control functions. Working on large-scale projects – ranging from $50 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will have an important role in project integration and the responsibility for project accountability towards the client.
What you will do :

Manage a team of professionals, technicians and administrators;
-
Lead the team and ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables;
-
If necessary, validate the chosen direction, method or approach;
-
Escalate decisions to the Project director as required;
-
Work in close collaboration with the directors of all project functions and other stakeholders external to the project or company;
-
Ruling on the priority of conflicting requirements between functions reporting to him, or between these and other project functions;
-
Know the project's contractual requirements;
-
Lead, in accordance with the Project director and in collaboration with his team, the definition of management plans, processes, tools and methods to be deployed during the project.

As required, support the Project director for executive presentations, analyses, or strategic discussions for the project.
Supervise and support the following personnel in the performance of their duties:

Cost Control Manager;
-
Master Planner;
-
Risk Management Manager;
-
Change Management Manager;
-
Head of Progress Control Department;
-
Reporting Manager;
-
Contract Administration Department Manager;
-
Document Control Department Manager.
This role could be for you if you have :
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent;
- 15 years experience in industrial construction;
- 8 years experience in project control in another sector, combined with 8 years experience in industrial construction could also be considered;
- Demonstrate rigor, with a concern for accuracy, precision and compliance with standards and norms;
- Ability to synthesize the essential elements and establish links between them;
- Experience in team management;
- Be versatile and autonomous;
- Understanding of Primavera P6 and Project planning software, and knowledge of quantitative schedule analysis;
- Knowledge of information management systems (PMIS) for major projects;
- Fluency in both official languages written and oral (English and French);
- Ability to travel occasionally to the worksite as required by the project;
