Reduce logs or sawmill waste into wood chips or flakes. Operate and tend equipment to peel and slice veneer from logs and log sections. Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand and splice veneer sheets. Operate and tend equipment to dry lumber and other wood products. Operate and tend equipment to chemically treat and impregnate wood products with preservatives. Observe panel indicators and equipment to detect malfunctions. Observe equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to ensure that processes are operating according to specifications. Assemble plywood panels. Start up, shut down, set up and adjust process equipment or machines. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
