Amazon’s Navigator teams focuses on delivering software solutions that keep the Amazon customer and builder experience fast, responsive, and frustration-free for our customers. We aim to provide actionable data insights, delight customers as they find, evaluate and purchase products, tailoring the experience across PCs, phones and tablets globally. We are a broad platform and experiences team, with dozens of partners contributing to deliver the best shopping and building experience for hundreds of millions of products. Our team strives to solve the challenges faced by Amazon Retail teams (as well as Devices and other teams), with tooling for builders to search and locate processes, aggregate and reconcile operations, pinpoint problematic components and triage errors, report and analyze operation metrics and trends, identify improvement opportunities, without the heavy reliance on log digging.

The ideal candidate for this has excellent problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, a customer-focused mindset, and a proven track record of on-time delivery. They are familiar with machine learning, service-oriented architectures, and distributed data and services.

About the team
Our team is building solutions for engineers at Amazon which leverage AI to reduce the time to build and deploy. We are also working on building tools to allow people with no tech knowledge to build solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of full stack development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Ability to rapidly prototype and adjust in response to customer feedback.Experience building front-end features that have been successfully delivered to customers for mobile applications.
- Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns. Knows when (and when not) to use front-end software design patterns.
- Can articulate the risks and benefits of depending on front-end libraries, frameworks, and toolsets.
- Able to dive into the source code of front end libraries to debug, patch, and extend them when necessary.
- Proficient in view layout and rendering technologies (e.g., responsiveness, progressive enhancement, browser/device support).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

The base salary for this position ranges from $114,800/year up to $191,800/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
