Primary Purpose of the Role/Job
The Business Relationship Manager helps advance our Bank’s market position and financial growth, by advancing Shinhan’s presence in the community by leveraging their mortgage expertise and having a strong understanding of the market and potential client base. The Business Relationship Manager is expected to be a strong relationship builder who is able to develop a rapport with new clients and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Understand and provide insight to business development efforts to build client portfolio and turn this into increased business
- Create a sales plan that will lead to the achievement of client sales targets; Deposit, Residential Mortgage, and Commercial Mortgage
- Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
- Identify leading edge tactics to generate leads and build a pipeline of mortgage business
- Leverage your mortgage experience to help clients achieve their home ownership goals
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Bank’s campaigns, products, services, and distribution channels that lead to increase in sales;
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the bank’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met
- Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
- Understand the bank’s goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the bank’s performance
- Present ideas for business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff
- Manage the reports that analyze performance against forecasts and sales targets
- Additional duties as deemed necessary
Job Requirements
Education Requirements Bachelors Degree
Work Experience Requirements 5-10 years
- Independent, self-managed professionals who are ambitious and target driven with a proven sales track record
- Skilled assessing new and existing customer needs, providing quality advice and recommendations
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated skills to effectively organize and prioritize work volumes
- Sound Knowledge of financial analysis, risk evaluation, loan documentation and commercial loan structures
- Ability to generate new business, identify business opportunities – grow and maintain client relationships
- Flexibility to withstand unpredictable changes to schedule and deadlines
- Strong teamwork orientation
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build quality, long-term relationships with clients
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
People Management Experience Requirements 3-5 years of people management experience is preferred
