About the role
Overview The DevOps Manager will lead a team of engineers to deliver cloud platform-based projects, optimize infrastructure, streamline deployments, and manage costs effectively. This role requires a strategic leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for operational excellence.
Location: Greater Toronto Area, ON (Hybrid)
Status: Contract
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the DevOps team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
- Oversee project intake, prioritization, and delivery across AWS and GCP environments
- Ensure stability and quick resolution of issues across multiple environments (development, test, staging, production)
- Partner with finance teams to plan cloud spend and implement cost optimization strategies
- Define KPIs and provide regular operational health reports to leadership
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- S trong hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform preferred), and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with monitoring tools (AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization
Nice To Have
- Experience in multi-cloud strategy and governance
- Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
