About the role

TERRA NOVA MIDWIFERY IS INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR REGISTERED

MIDWIVES TO JOIN OUR COMMUNITY-ROOTED, EQUITY-ORIENTED

PRACTICE.

Both full scope and Postpartum Only RM positions are available.

We provide team-based care and take client load to support 0.75- 1.0 FTE for each midwife, depending on team capacity and ratio of primips to multips each month. We have a rotating schedule of 24 hour call shifts with AM handover. We ensure balanced time off. Clinic overhead costs are in line with community rates and not applied to quarterly overhead payments.

At Terra Nova, our care model intentionally reflects the traditional full-scope roots of midwifery:

full courses of care from early pregnancy through birth and the postpartum period attentive, hands-on labour support home and hospital birth early postpartum home visits building meaningful relationships through direct communication with clients via email and paging access support for physiologic birth and informed choice serve a diverse population and maintain a full roster with a substantial waitlist each month

Applicants must already be eligible to work in Canada and be (or be immediately eligible to become) registered with the BCCNM.
