Position Summary:

This position will oversee the various recruitment campaigns that are designed to communicate with applicants that have applied to George Brown Polytechnic in order to nurture them through the various stages of the enrolment conversion funnel, with the objective of converting an applicant to a registered student. The incumbent will be responsible for various communication channels, including outbound calling, email, social media and Instant Messaging campaigns. The incumbent must guide and advise both applicants/students of the polytechnic. The incumbent also provides support and coordination at recruitment events, when required, which includes interacting with prospective students, as well as their friends and family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment and selection processes for the Marketing department’s Student Ambassadors and the Social Media Marketing Specialist.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including creating the job contracts on Cornerstone, setting up work accounts, updating emergency contacts, and providing guidance on setting up computers (e.g. VPN, Microsoft Teams, setting up softphone, etc.).
  • Provide information to and collect information from Student Ambassadors relating to the day-to-day operation of calling campaigns.
  • Liaise with Admission’s, Contact Centre and Marketing to ensure campaigns operate effectively and in conjunction with the other departments at the college.
  • Create, refine, and update the data entry fields and sections used by staff to record responses from applicants during their phone calls.
  • Support email communications.
  • Work with the Social Media Marketing Specialist and support applicant social media campaigns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  • Three-year degree in Marketing or Human Resources, or Three-year degree and post-graduate studies in Marketing or Human Resources from a recognized post-secondary institute.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant work experience in marketing campaign management, human resources management, and post-secondary admissions support.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Solid project planning, team leadership, time management, risk management, organizational, budgeting and resourcing, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, quality assurance and change management skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, teamwork and interpersonal skills at a professional level.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold the Polytechnic’s priorities on diversity and equity.

Interview process may consist of a practical skills component.
