This is a strategic opportunity to deepen your impact within Wealth Management by advancing our Data and AI governance maturity. You will work cross-functionally with Business and Technology partners to drive data quality, address ethical data usage, enable analytics, and support regulatory and operational excellence.
If you are passionate about data as a corporate asset and ready to lead change, this role offers visibility, influence, and growth across Wealth lines of business—including Digital Investing, Private Wealth Canada, Asset Management, and Insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of data governance practices aligned with the Wealth Management Data Governance Program.
- Collaborate with business data owners and DMO team members to manage metadata, lineage, and data flows.
- Coordinate resolution of data issues and facilitate remediation strategies.
- Support creation of curated datasets for analytics, reporting, and visualization.
- Contribute to strategic data inventories and roadmaps.
- Develop dashboards and tracking mechanisms to monitor and improve data quality.
- Establish and monitor KRIs and PRCs to reduce data risk.
- Document and maintain operational procedures for audit readiness.
- Support stakeholder training and communications to drive adoption.
- Conduct needs assessments and recommends process improvements.
- Provide guidance on future-ready data solutions and business intelligence models.
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in Data Management & Governance within enterprise environments.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL; familiarity with Python, Java, and C/C++ is a plus.
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Netezza, AWS).
- Familiarity with data management tools (e.g., data catalogs, metadata, data lineage; familiarity with Informatica, Alation, Manta is a plus).
- Proven ability to lead projects and change management initiatives.
- FI Wealth Management experience preferred.
- Strong verbal/written communication and collaboration skills.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.

$75,900.00 - $141,900.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.
Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
