Process Engineer
About the role
Job Description Supports site overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). This resource develops and empowers cross-functional teams to optimize their systems and processes, thereby reducing losses such as downtime, bottlenecks, and waste. The role is also responsible for acting as a resource for implementing change in other projects within the company.
- Annual Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
Responsibilities
- Apply understanding of business goals, strategies, capabilities, and organization of Lean manufacturing, together with continuous improvement, and the relationship between cross-functional operational teams; such as TPM, Asset Management. Support functional leadership teams in optimizing manufacturing equipment and processes to reduce OEE losses.
- To participate in the development and maintenance of continuous improvement curriculum, training, and deployment for various levels of end users. Assist in writing standard work documents and operator training
- Provide support in identifying process and equipment limitations and developing, justifying and managing the implementation of improvement projects
- Assist with the planning, installation and start-up of new equipment
- Coach the facilitation of root cause analyses, problem solving tools, and project management to address manufacturing issues.
- To participate in the design review process for new and problem-solving designed products, and provide feedback and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Possess a Post-Secondary Education in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related discipline).
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory or leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and operations.
- Project Management training with proven ability to manage and execute process improvement initiatives.
- Continuous Improvement certification (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills to effectively address operational challenges and optimize performance.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
