JOB SUMMARY
The Dietitian is responsible for the provision of direct patient services, including consultation, assessment and education. Ensures clinical services are meeting the needs of the program(s). Responsible for participation in departmental, hospital and educational activities, which are supportive of professional and corporate objectives. The Dietitian adheres to professional obligations as required by the College of Dietitians of Ontario. The Dietitian will be responsible to support the training and education of future members of the profession. The Dietitian is responsible for the delivery of care consistent with the vision and values of the hospital and the standards of relevant professional organizations. The incumbent must comply with the Occupational Health and Safety standards for the hospital and is proactive in promoting a safe work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION
- Bachelors degree in Food and Nutrition
- Completion of a Dietitians of Canada (DC) approved dietetic internship, or approved DC equivalent
- Member of the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
- Membership in the Dietitians of Canada is optional
- Experience in clinical nutrition would be an asset
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to standards of excellence and accountability
- French language skills an asset

Windsor Regional Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the Province of Ontario, serving a population of 400,000 people in Windsor and Essex County. It is the regional provider of advanced care in areas that include Complex Trauma, Renal Dialysis, Cardiac Care, Stroke and Neurosurgery, Intensive Care, Acute Mental Health, Family Birthing Centre, Neonatal Intensive Care, Paediatric Services, Regional Cancer services and a broad range of medical and surgical services required to support these specialized areas.

The ultimate vision is to design and construct a new state-of-the-art acute hospital healthcare facility serving the needs of Windsor-Essex for generations to come.
Providing Acute Care Services with 650 plus beds and an operating budget of half of a billion dollars, Windsor Regional Hospital is one of the largest community based non-academic hospitals in the Province of Ontario.
