About the Company Our client is a large, well-established organization with an extensive North American real estate portfolio. Operating in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment, they manage a high volume of commercial and retail locations while maintaining strong financial oversight and operational excellence.

The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to join the team on a 3-month contract, with strong potential for extension or permanent conversion. This role will focus on managing a high-volume commercial portfolio, ensuring lease data accuracy, overseeing financial reconciliations, and acting as a key liaison between landlords, tenants, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Manage an assigned regional portfolio of commercial sites, ensuring lease data is accurate and maintained in line with internal standards Review and reconcile accounts, including Statements of Account (SOAs), and validate financial data within internal systems Administer monthly rent, CAM (Common Area Maintenance), property taxes, and other ad-hoc billings Lead year-end reconciliations and support lease audits and property tax reviews Liaise with landlords, tenants, and internal teams regarding lease interpretation, property maintenance, disputes, and escalations Prepare correspondence related to rent adjustments, outstanding payments, CAM charges, and site issues Oversee non-operating property assets, including maintenance scheduling and day-to-day management Manage tenant arrears, collections activities, and bad debt processes Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Lease Administration, Operations, and Development teams Identify and contribute to process improvements across property management and financial operations

What You Bring 5+ years of experience in property management, property accounting, or lease administration within commercial or retail real estate Strong experience with financial reconciliations, invoice validation, and lease-related accounting Experience managing commercial portfolios (high-volume exposure is preferred) Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle is an asset Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities Strong problem-solving skills with an ownership mindset Experience with collections, tenant arrears, and financial escalations is preferred Background with large commercial property firms is considered an asset
