What To Expect Tesla Toronto Automation builds advanced automation systems that power Tesla’s manufacturing operations worldwide. The Shipping and Receiving Associate supports Tesla’s manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are received, verified, and distributed accurately and efficiently to keep production running at full capacity. This role requires precision, strong teamwork, and a commitment to Tesla’s safety and quality standards.
Shift: Monday–Thursday 3:30 PM–1:00 AM, Friday 2:30 PM–11:00 PM. The afternoon shift includes a 10% shift premium.
What You'll Do- Receive, verify, inspect, and count inbound materials following Tesla procedures and quality standards
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials between warehouse, production, and factory areas using appropriate equipment
- Execute timely movement of materials to support production schedules and minimize downtime
- Maintain accurate records of material movement, receipts, and inventory transactions in Tesla systems
- Perform regular cycle counts and assist with quarterly or annual inventory audits
- Identify material shortages or discrepancies and communicate promptly to resolve issues
- Uphold Tesla’s 5S and safety practices by maintaining clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas What You'll Bring- 3-5 years of prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating counterbalance and pallet-moving equipment preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand or walk for extended periods, and perform regular reaching and climbing tasks
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to meet dynamic production and logistics priorities
- Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP data entry systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime or support other logistics functions as needed
