Purpose:

The Warehouse Associate supports the efficient day-to-day operations of the warehouse by accurately picking, checking, packing, and dispatching customer orders. The role is responsible for receiving shipments, maintaining inventory control, and ensuring all items are properly staged, labeled, and verified against order requirements. Working within established procedures and quality standards, the Warehouse Associate helps ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, while also supporting general warehouse duties such as inventory checks, housekeeping, and quality assurance.

Environment: The physical environment is a clean, quiet warehouse area. 10% of the work is performed on computer display terminal and the job has a routine work pace with a normal degree of pressure.

Schedule: Monday to Friday: 6:30AM-3PM / 8AM-4:30PM (rotation)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Commits to being fully engaged, caring, and enthusiastic about the organization and it goals

  • Adheres to corporate, regulatory, and individual responsibilities supporting the Company’s quality management programs, supporting policies, procedures, work instructions, and relevant software.

  • Adheres to the Company’s commitment to and policy on Code of Conduct

  • Adheres to organizational and individual health and safety responsibilities in the workplace

  • Ensures that all customer orders are processed in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Picks, stages, decontaminates, and breaks down all components for production in cleanroom.

  • Labels and performs visual inspections of all finished production from cleanroom

  • Picks all required additional ancillary medication for customer orders (heparin, zantac, multivitamins, etc.)

  • Ensures that all pick locations are maintained to proper inventory levels.

  • The associate assists with monitoring expiry dates, performing in-process inspection of finished goods (black/white light check, weight measurements), restocking pick performing cycle counts, storing products in a safe/tidy manner, and safely operating equipment

  • Responsible for returning all cancelled, double picked, unsuccessful orders to stock.

  • Assist with the sorting and disposal of all customer returned orders.

  • Performs routine cleaning responsibilities of Warehouse space according to schedule and documents completion on relevant cleaning logs.

  • Assist in ensuring the quarantine and proper disposal of Biohazard waste.

  • Ensures warehouse complies with health and safety standards.

  • Housekeeping duties – Breaking down of all cardboard boxes and the disposal of cartonsto the recycle bin- sweeping floors.

  • Performs monthly check for expired items and appropriately quarantines stock awaiting for disposition by Purchasing.

  • Provide training to all new warehouse employees.

  • Provide backup coverage (if designate) to shipper/receiver position.

  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the CSR/Operations Supervisor or Manager.

  • Internally the warehouse associate interacts with warehouse, customer service, pharmacy, and purchasing/inventory control.

  • Externally, the warehouse associate interacts with the Burnaby facility to coordinate shipping of their TPN

  • Maintains up-to-date training designated for this position including health and safetytraining via Learning Management System

  • Uses the Forklift with proper training and the extra attention than would normally be required for other work.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma

  • Ability to pull, push and lift objects up to 35lbs (buddy system for heavier items)

  • Able and willing to stand for long periods at a time (85% of the time)

  • Able and willing to bending, reach, and climb (75% of the time)

  • Forklift experience is an asset

SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating workloads
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Excellent continuous improvement skills
  • Proven ability to adhere to standards & procedures and maintain confidentiality
  • Forklift skills an asset
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office
