Duties to commence as soon as possible and end on or about December 19, 2025 (or earlier if incumbent returns or circumstances change).

- Will require daily travel to multiple locations within the Board
The Complex Needs Coach is a specialized role focused on supporting students with significant behavioural and/or physical needs. These students may require intensive, individualized support, including strategies for de-escalation, physical assistance, and behavioural management. The Complex Needs Coach works closely with school teams to develop and implement these interventions, ensuring that all involved staff are equipped to meet the unique needs of these students.
Qualifications

Child and Youth Worker Diploma

Knowledge of Mental Health and behaviour strategies and interventions
-
Strong communication skills
-
Ability to work on a Multi-disciplinary team and build relationships

Strong organizational skills, independent thinker and learner
-
Ability to coach, consult and collaborate as necessary

Expertise in managing complex behavioural issues, such as aggression, self-harm, or non-compliance, and physical needs, such as mobility assistance or medical support.

Strong interpersonal skills to develop collaborative, trust-based relationships with staff.

Extensive knowledge of evidence-based interventions for special education students with complex needs.

Experience in data collection, analysis, and using data to refine instructional and support strategies
