The seasonalBanquet Serverposition runs from approximately April to October. Due to the nature of the event industry, many events take place on evenings, weekends and holidays, so having a flexible schedule is a requirement.

Redwoods is a tip-free facility so there are no tips or gratuities on top of the posted wage.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
-Set up events following facility standards and the requests of each event -Work cohesively with outside vendors and their setup staff -Maintain overall cleanliness of the event areas, guest tables, restaurant, bathrooms, and event storage areas -Provide friendly and attentive customer service -Provide appetizer service during events -Assist guests as needed -Assist in post-event clean-up -Perform miscellaneous light cleaning duties as needed -Wash, fold, and iron laundry -Support Servers in the Restaurant by seating tables, delivering food and beverages, cleaning tables, stocking product etc. -Maintain a professional appearance at all times -Other duties as required
Skills and Abilities
-Team oriented -Excellent customer service skills -Strong interpersonal and communication skills -Meticulous attention to detail -Ability to work independently with minimal supervision -Quick thinking and 'can-do' attitude -Excellent time management, organization and multitasking abilities -Physically able to carry out the functions of the position -Ability to work a flexible schedule as required by the demands of the facility -Ability to get to work without relying on public transit; work hours extend beyond local transit operation -Fully proficient in spoken and written English with other language(s) considered an asset
Qualifications
-Valid Serving it Right will be required to be maintained throughout employment -Willingness to complete a Police Information Check is required -Valid Basic First Aid, CPR-C and AED Certification, or equivalent, will be required to be maintained throughout employment -Experience in weddings, hospitality or a food service environment is an asset
