About the role
The Warranty Superintendent will be responsible for customer and trade assessments, correspondences and bookings in a timely manner. They ensure that customers have a positive experience with their warranty, resolving any issues they may have in a timely and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Customer Walkthroughs & Education
- Lead pre-occupancy and possession walkthroughs with homeowners, clearly identifying and documenting deficiencies for follow-up by the construction team.
- Review and sign off on all possession items with customers to ensure full understanding and satisfaction prior to handover.
- Educate homeowners on warranty coverage, regular maintenance requirements, and best practices for caring for their new home.
- Deliver a professional and positive experience that reflects Rohit’s commitment to exceptional customer service.
Post-Possession & Warranty Inspections
- Conduct 1-month and 1-year warranty inspections to identify and document homeowner concerns or required repairs.
- Complete warranty assessments and prepare recommendations for resolution in collaboration with the Warranty Manager.
- Coordinate and attend Alberta New Home Warranty Program (ANHWP) claims, inspections, and follow-up appointments as required.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspection findings and ensure timely scheduling of necessary repairs.
Repairs & Trade Coordination
- Schedule, coordinate, and monitor trade partners to ensure all repair work meets Rohit standards, timelines, and specifications.
- Attend scheduled trade days (1-month and 1-year) to facilitate homeowner repairs and ensure quality workmanship.
- Complete minor home repairs or touch-ups when feasible, escalating larger or multiple issues to the appropriate trade partners.
- Track and close work orders upon completion, authorize payments, and report recurring issues to the Warranty Manager.
Communication & Professional Conduct
- Maintain proactive communication with homeowners, trades, and internal departments to ensure timely updates and resolution of issues.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls as per the on-call rotation, triaging issues and dispatching appropriate trades when necessary.
- Ensure all interactions are handled with professionalism, empathy, and tact while representing the Rohit brand.
- Follow all safety policies and documentation requirements while upholding company standards for quality and customer experience.
Experience
Required
- Knowledge of building and safety code requirements
- 5 year(s): Experience in the construction industry
Preferred
- Basic knowledge of Alberta New Home Warranty policies
Education
Required
- High School Diploma or better
Licenses & Certifications
Required
- Prov Driver's License
