About the role:

We are currently seeking a Senior Production Geologist to lead and coordinate mine geology deliverables for Cote Gold. Provide reliable, consistent and timely information pertaining to geology. Collect, develop, analyze and model geological information for optimum extraction. Report and communicate progress and participate in various mine projects and business improvement initiatives. Provide technical expertise, support, coaching and training to the grade control geologists and technicians. Manage geology consultants and other related stakeholders.

Reporting directly to the Chief Geologist, this position is located at the Cote Gold Mine Site on a 14 on, 14 off schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the mine geology team, fostering a safe, inclusive, and high‑performance work environment.
  • Lead mine‑to‑mill reconciliation and ensure accurate grade control, material movement tracking, geological modeling, and ore/waste delineation aligned with operational objectives.
  • Lead grade control drilling campaign (RC Drilling) and collaborate with all stakeholders to safely execute drill program and de-risk production
  • Supervise block model updates, ore block design, blast movement tracking and polygon generation and release to Mine Operations with the Production Geology Team
  • Oversee the technical production and integrity of geological data, including analysis, interpretation, reporting, and continuous refinement of the mine model.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional inputs from Exploration, Mine Technical Services, Operations, and Mill teams to support effective planning and execution.
  • Support short‑term and three‑month planning by providing technical analysis, evaluating trade‑offs, and recommending practical, value‑driven solutions.
  • Build, develop, and retain a diverse and capable team through recruitment, training, mentoring, coaching, and clear progression pathways.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation by implementing best‑in‑class practices, new methods, and emerging technologies in mine geology.
  • Promote accountability and performance excellence through clear expectations, performance reviews, feedback, and ongoing professional development.

QualificationsKey Skills & Knowledge:

  • Post-secondary degree in geology or related field is required.
  • Registration (or eligibility to register) as a Geologist (PGO) or Engineer in Geology (Peng) in Ontario.

Relevant Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of related work experience.
  • Previous experience in an open pit mine is considered an asset.
  • Background in geologic models of ore systems and exploration techniques.
