Housekeeper

Closing Date: Wednesday, December 24, 2025 @ 12:00 NOON
Starting Rate: $23.67 hourly
Salary Range: $23.67 - $24.87 hourly
Hours of Work: Minimum availability of 45 hours (6 shifts) in a two-week period, including every other weekend. Will be scheduled a minimum of 30 hours (4 shifts) during each two-week period with opportunity to pick-up additional shifts.
Status: Permanent part-time

The Pines has been serving seniors with care and dignity in our community since 1961. Our cozy and comfortable home encompasses five resident home areas (one secure) and has four wonderful courtyards with plenty of outdoor spaces to roam about.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Environmental Services, the Cleaner maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility by cleaning and sanitizing rooms and furnishings in assigned work areas following established policies and procedures.
What you will do

Using specified cleaning agents and following procedures performs tasks such as: sweeping vacuuming, wet/dry mopping, stripping/waxing, sanitizing/disinfecting, cleaning windows, floors, walls, mirrors, fixtures, handrails, doors and doorknobs, sinks, toilets, counters, etc.

Complete daily / weekly / bi-weekly/ monthly /annual cleaning routines including spot cleaning, high/ low dusting, carbolize beds, isolation cleaning and discharge cleaning routines
What you will need
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Completed police record check, including vulnerable sector screening
- Good communication skills and ability to read, write and follow written instructions in English

Previous cleaning in a commercial or health care setting would be an asset
