EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

Agricultural Farm Worker

(6 Full-Time Month Contract)

Duties Include:

• Farm bed prep & creation
• Harvest and wash produce
• Deliver produce to programs
• Assist team with distribution of produce to members weekly
• Apply organic fertilizer to fields
• Assist team with supervision and mentorship of youth employment hires
• Assist team with events and workshops
• Any other duties that arise will be assigned by Management weekly

Education/Experience:

• Secondary completion and/or a combination of relevant experience and education

• Farm knowledge or training is an asset but not required. The willingness to learn is essential

• Ability to work unsupervised and in a team setting

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. safely and consistently

• Ability to work for long periods outside in rain and sun

• Experience working with hand tools and small machines, ex; mower and weed eater

• Ability to take direction and implement instruction in a face paced environment

• Class 5 BC driver’s license

Wages:$25 per hour commensurate with qualifications.
