EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Agricultural Farm Worker
(6 Full-Time Month Contract)
Duties Include:
- Farm bed prep & creation
- Harvest and wash produce
- Deliver produce to programs
- Assist team with distribution of produce to members weekly
- Apply organic fertilizer to fields
- Assist team with supervision and mentorship of youth employment hires
- Assist team with events and workshops
- Any other duties that arise will be assigned by Management weekly
Education/Experience:

Secondary completion and/or a combination of relevant experience and education

Farm knowledge or training is an asset but not required. The willingness to learn is essential

Ability to work unsupervised and in a team setting

Ability to lift 50 lbs. safely and consistently
-
Ability to work for long periods outside in rain and sun

Experience working with hand tools and small machines, ex; mower and weed eater
-
Ability to take direction and implement instruction in a face paced environment

Class 5 BC driver’s license
Wages:$25 per hour commensurate with qualifications.
