About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Internal Communications Manager based in Canada. This role sits at the intersection of internal communications, executive storytelling, and organizational alignment, shaping how employees experience the company’s mission, strategy, and culture. You will lead the development of high-impact communication strategies that connect business priorities to clear, compelling narratives across global teams. Acting as a senior advisor to leadership, you will craft and elevate executive messaging while guiding communication during key company moments such as organizational changes, all-hands, and strategic announcements. The role requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution, with responsibility for building scalable communication frameworks that improve clarity, engagement, and alignment across the organization. You will partner closely with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, marketing, and people operations to ensure consistent storytelling. This is a high-visibility position where your work directly influences culture, trust, and employee experience at scale. \n

Accountabilities You will be responsible for leading internal communication strategy and execution across the organization, ensuring alignment between leadership messaging, business priorities, and employee engagement. Develop and execute global internal communications strategies aligned with company priorities and organizational goals Lead end-to-end communication planning for major company moments such as all-hands, leadership updates, and organizational changes Partner with senior executives to shape messaging, refine narratives, and advise on high-stakes communication scenarios Build scalable communication frameworks, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency across teams and functions Translate complex business initiatives into clear, compelling, and accessible narratives for diverse employee audiences Define and track communication effectiveness metrics, using insights to continuously improve engagement and impact Manage executive communications including speeches, presentations, AMAs, and internal announcements Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in People, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Brand to ensure message alignment Support culture-building initiatives and employer branding through consistent internal storytelling Leverage modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to improve efficiency while maintaining editorial excellence Requirements You bring deep experience in internal communications, executive storytelling, and organizational change communication in large or fast-growing environments. 8+ years of experience in internal communications, executive communications, or corporate communications Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide communication strategies with measurable organizational impact Experience supporting senior leadership with messaging for high-visibility moments and organizational change initiatives Strong ability to translate complex business topics into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate narratives Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong editorial judgment Demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders Experience building scalable communication systems, frameworks, and best practices Strong ability to manage sensitive communications with discretion and clarity Data-driven mindset with experience measuring communication effectiveness and employee engagement Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance drafting, synthesis, and communication workflows Benefits Competitive compensation aligned with experience and market benchmarks Salary range (Canada): 163,200 – 211,200 CAD Remote-first flexibility across eligible Canadian provinces Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Opportunity to shape company culture and employee experience at scale High-impact, high-visibility role working directly with senior leadership Strong emphasis on learning, development, and career growth Inclusive and collaborative work environment focused on transparency and trust
