Role Description The Sales Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. In this role, the Sales Associate engages with prospective and current members, conducts facility tours, and explains membership options, pricing, and promotions. Your primary job function is LEAD GENERATION & MARKETING. Daily activities im clude working through various mediums, personal networks, building relationships with guests, responding to inquiries in person and by phone, and following up on leads to meet individual and team sales goals. The Sales Associate supports new member onboarding, ensures accurate completion of membership paperwork, and maintains knowledge of club amenities, classes, and services. This role also collaborates with fitness and operations staff to provide a welcoming environment, helping clean and assist with front-desk coverage when needed, and uphold company standards for customer service and professionalism.
Qualifications
Strong sales and customer service abilities, including relationship building, needs-based selling, and follow-up with prospective members. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to engage diverse members and explain products and services clearly. Basic administrative and organizational skills, including handling membership documentation, managing appointments, and using club management systems. Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet sales targets, and collaborate with team members. Interest in fitness, wellness, or health-related services, with the ability to learn and articulate LA Fitness programs and amenities. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by club operations. Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or fitness sales is an asset but not required; training will be provided. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is considered an advantage.
