Faculty/Department Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies Unit KHS - Sessionals Employee Group URFA CUPE 5791 Job Family Category Sessional Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary

Focus on various research methods and statistical analyses used in Kinesiology and Health Studies. Emphasis on ability to read and understand published research. Course focuses on basic research methods, experimental and non-experimental designs, and basic statistical analysis students will encounter in most Kinesiology and Health Studies research. Emphasis is placed on becoming a critical consumer (read, understand and critique) of research. Students are expected to design their own research project to answer a relevant research question for their own area of interest.

Position Requirements

A graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in an area appropriate for the course (i.e. Kinesiology, Courses in the subject area at a graduate or undergraduate level from a post secondary institution we would consider transfer credit from are required. Demonstrated relevant work experience in health related research considered and relevant teaching experience at the undegraduate level are considered assets.

Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours

This class is scheduled in-person, on campus, Mon, Tues, Wed., Thurs
11:30am-12:45pm.
