About The Role
As a Full Stack Developer – React & AI, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, high-performance web applications and microservices that support business-critical initiatives. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver innovative digital solutions.
In This Role, You Will
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using modern technologies including React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and related frameworks.
Build scalable, responsive, and user-centric front-end solutions leveraging React, Next.js, Redux, Material UI, and other modern UI technologies.
Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
Lead technical initiatives by translating business requirements into robust technical designs, delivering high-quality code, and driving successful project execution.
Provide technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, troubleshooting production issues, and promoting engineering best practices.

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
Strong experience developing full-stack applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development frameworks.
Proficiency in Core Java and experience designing and developing large-scale, high-performance microservices architectures.
Hands-on experience building and integrating RESTful APIs and distributed systems in enterprise environments.
Expertise working with relational or cloud-based databases and distributed messaging platforms such as Kafka.
Experience with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or IBM Cloud, with knowledge of application deployment and cloud-native architectures.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, build processes, and release management.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams and stakeholders while leading technical discussions and architectural decisions.
These will help you stand out
Experience with GraphQL services and API optimization.
Strong knowledge of front-end performance tuning, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments and leading medium to large-scale software development efforts.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native development patterns.
Experience mentoring developers and fostering engineering excellence across teams.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or equivalent
Total Compensation

We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD $61,650 to $91,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
