Bel Café is seeking an inspiring and hands-on Manager to lead our café operations and champion the exceptional standards our guests know and love. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads with heart, and brings both hospitality excellence and business acumen to the table.

As Bel Café Manager, you are more than an operator; you are a leader, mentor, and brand ambassador, representing Bel Café through impeccable service, thoughtful leadership, and a strong cultural presence. You’ll be accountable for daily operations, team development, and achieving monthly financial goals, all while creating memorable guest experiences.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day café operations, ensuring smooth, high-quality service
  • Schedule and manage FOH staffing in alignment with labour standards, sales history, and business needs
  • Maintain accurate cash-handling procedures, including gratuity distribution
  • Conduct monthly inventories of FOH supplies and collaborate with kitchen leadership as needed
  • Oversee repairs and maintenance to keep the café operating at its best
  • Build meaningful relationships with regular guests and turn first-time visitors into loyal fans
  • Partner with the Bel Café Chef and Pastry Chef to ensure strong product knowledge across the team
  • Proactively manage and resolve service issues, ensuring guests are always taken care of
  • Respond to guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and care
  • Uphold and model the culture, values, and service standards of Hawksworth Restaurant Group
  • Hire, train, and develop FOH team members
  • Submit bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time

What You Bring

  • 1–2 years of relevant management experience, ideally in a café or hospitality setting
  • Coffee knowledge or barista experience (an asset)
  • Valid Serving It Right certification
  • Experience with POS systems and inventory management (an asset)
  • A natural leadership style, strong communication skills, and a passion for hospitality
