As a Doorperson, you are the first impression of River Rock Casino Resort—setting the tone for every guest’s experience the moment they arrive. Your warm welcome, attentive presence, and polished professionalism create an atmosphere of ease, comfort, and genuine hospitality. Whether you’re opening doors, greeting guests by name, coordinating transportation, or supporting smooth guest flow at the entrance, you play a vital role in shaping a memorable stay.

Your ability to anticipate needs, maintain a poised presence, and deliver seamless service ensures every guest feels valued from the moment they step onto the property.

       Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Welcome & Arrival Experience — Create an exceptional first impression by greeting guests warmly, opening doors, and offering immediate assistance with professionalism and care.
  • Entrance Presence & Flow — Maintain an organized, welcoming, and safe entrance area while managing guest flow during busy periods.
  • Luggage Support — Assist with luggage handling when needed, ensuring items are managed safely and efficiently.
  • Transportation Coordination — Arrange taxis, rideshare pickups, shuttle services, and other transportation needs promptly and courteously.
  • Guest Information Support — Provide knowledgeable recommendations about River Rock’s amenities, dining, entertainment, and casino offerings.
  • Security Awareness — Maintain awareness of guest activity at the entrance, supporting safety, access control, and overall property security.
  • Weather Assistance — Offer umbrellas, assist guests during inclement weather, and ensure walkways remain safe and accessible.
  • Department Collaboration — Work closely with Bell Services, Valet, Front Desk, and Security to support a seamless guest experience.
  • Relationship Building — Build rapport with guests and colleagues, contributing to a warm, service‑driven environment.
  • Safety & Compliance — Follow all safety protocols, licensing requirements, and health and security standards.
  • Additional Duties — Support other operational needs as assigned to enhance guest satisfaction and overall service excellence

      Qualifications

  • Guest Service Experience — Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a guest‑facing role is preferred; a genuine passion for helping others is essential.
  • Scheduling Flexibility — Must be available for a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Capability — Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with luggage handling when required.
  • Communication Skills — Strong English communication skills; additional languages are an asset.
  • Hospitality Knowledge — Education or training in hospitality is an asset.
  • Hotel or Resort Experience — Experience working in a hotel, resort, or similar environment is an advantage.
  • Security Awareness — Comfort working in a high‑traffic environment with strong situational awareness.
  • Criminal Record Check — Ability to clear a criminal record check.

Work Environment Considerations

Standing for extended periods and supporting the operation during non‑traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as part of delivering exceptional guest experiences.
