Southland Co-operative Ltd. is hiring an Agronomist to lead the agronomy function at our Agro Centre in Assiniboia, Saskatchewan.

What you’ll do:
- Plan the day to day execution of the Agronomy Department.
- Provide leadership, direction and oversight to agronomy operations, programs and policies to prepare, administer and achieve budgeted goals and objectives. Achieve and maintain sales, margins and inventory targets for existing customers and expand sales to new customers.
- Provide leadership to the team, including recruiting, goal setting, performance management, training and development of team members.
- Build strong customer relationships, providing agronomic support, service and knowledge.
- Ensure safety and environmental policies and procedures and standards are achieved.
- Perform farm customer service responsibilities, including field scouting, agronomic troubleshooting, crop planning, fertility and crop protection recommendations.

Who you are:
- Degree in agriculture
- P. Ag. Designation
- 8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years of leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of prairie cropping systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid drivers license
- You're honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and you strive to be the best at what you do.
