About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Zebra and/or Epson commercial printers to produce labels for products, including barcodes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot Zebra and/or Epson commercial printers to ensure optimal functionality.
- Ensure barcodes and labels are printed accurately for placement on finished products.
- Coordinate with the quality team for label approvals and follow established release processes.
- Ensure printing equipment is cleaned and calibrated before use to maintain high operational standards.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory checks for all printing-related items to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Conduct in-process checks to ensure that products maintain integrity during the printing process.
- Assist with cleaning and organizing the printing room to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on printers and related equipment as needed.
- Follow strict quality control protocols and ensure batch records are recorded clearly and accurately.
- Adhere to guidelines for proper storage of printing supplies and equipment and for waste disposal.
- Maintain compliance with all regulations under the Cannabis Act to ensure safe and legal production practices.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors to support the production team and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating and maintaining Zebra and/or Epson commercial printers.
- Familiarity with barcodes, label production, and quality control processes.
- Ability to navigate Bartender, Adobe Illustrator and programming for label designs.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate labels and maintain records.
- Experience working in a regulated environment; knowledge of Cannabis Act regulations is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
- Experience navigating ERP systems such as D365 is a plus.
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
