Job Description:
DistribuCloud Technology Services, a trusted Managed IT Services Provider in the Waterloo Region, is seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to our small and mid-sized business clients, ensuring their systems operate securely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will provide both remote and onsite technical support for desktops, laptops, servers, and networking equipment. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, assist with new technology deployments, upgrades, and configurations, and maintain accurate documentation of service requests, resolutions, and client systems. You will work closely with the team to ensure service tickets are addressed promptly and effectively while also educating end-users on best practices for IT security and productivity tools.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in IT support or a related role, with previous MSP experience considered an asset. You should have strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, and common business applications, as well as a solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities are essential. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for client site visits.
