About the role
As Analyst, Business Opportunities , you will be responsible for supporting the operational effectiveness of the Capture Services function by enabling data-driven decision-making, optimizing processes, and ensuring alignment between growth activities and business objectives. This role will focus on pipeline management, forecasting, sales operations, and CRM administration to enhance organizational efficiency and drive capture success. The Growth Operations Specialist works closely with the Director, Capture Services, as well as with cross-functional stakeholders across Business Development, Finance, and Operations, to provide critical insights and tools that strengthen the company’s ability to compete and win. More specifically you will:

Manage and maintain growth-related systems and tools (e.g., CRM, sales forecasting, pipeline management platforms) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability.

Track, analyze, and report on growth performance metrics including PGo (Probability of Going Forward), PWin (Probability of Win), weighted pipeline values, and forecasting accuracy.

Support the capture process by providing operational data, scenario analysis, and insights that inform decision-making.

Collaborate with Business Development, Finance, and Operations to align opportunity tracking, pricing, and resource planning.

Develop and refine dashboards, reporting tools, and data visualizations to provide leadership with clear visibility into the pipeline and capture activities.

Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across all growth-related systems and processes.

Participate in the continuous improvement of growth operations processes, incorporating lessons learned and industry best practices.

Provide direct support to the Director, Capture Services on strategic projects, reporting, and departmental initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5+) years of experience in sales operations, business operations, or growth enablement, ideally in defence, shipbuilding, or complex project-based industries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with experience managing pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Salesforce, Dynamics) and business intelligence/reporting tools.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience working in matrixed organizations and collaborating across multiple functions.
- Capability to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by the Government of Canada.
