Job Description

AECOM is seeking a ORAT Technical Writer/Editor to join our team. This position is based on-site, out of Mississauga. We are seeking professionals to join our team to help us build one of the most advanced, sustainable and passenger-friendly airports in the world.

Major Responsibilities:

Substantive creation / editing of complex, high-profile deliverables
Oversees adherence to all applicable AECOM QA requirements. A key stakeholder in developing deliverables to integrate a robust QA process related to technical writing and editing
Manages complex, multi-author, multi-document projects. Oversees technical writing output for all departmental projects
Utilizes a expert understanding of AECOM services offerings and clients to write for different media
Consults with authors on developmental editing, content strategy, and information architecture
Manages feedback and guidance to the Technical Writing team ensuring consistency in team output
Manages editorial processes to ensure the highest levels of effectiveness and accuracy
Manages project or document-specific style guides in accordance with the company's written style, tone, branding, and editorial standards
Provides oversight for the Technical Writing team in the alignment of all documentation, produced and edited, adhering to AECOM's standards, as well as applicable client requirements and regulatory guidelines
Actively promotes use of Technical Writer/ Editor staff within AECOM to continually elevate company deliverables
Accountable for results of technical writing/editing output

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject.

Graduate with 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across-disciplinary teams.

Additional Information

This position requires work on-site/out of the office 5 days a week.
