The Role
In this role, you will:
- Manage assigned programs, including understanding all aspects of the program, cash flow management and forecasting, financial reporting and audit, and management reporting and analysis
- Prepare and develop new financial and management reporting, analytical commentary, and ad hoc analysis as required by management and stakeholders
- Research, collaborate and advise on financial and accounting issues
- Investigate operational issues, including coordination and follow up, leading to issue resolution
- Conduct reviews of internal controls and processes, provide recommendations and implement improvements to promote effective and efficient processes
- Oversee financial systems management, recommend improvements and upgrades, and support implementation of new financial and reporting solutions
- Use relationship and knowledge expertise to promote financial understanding across the organization and influence internal and external outcomes
- Participate as a key finance resource on projects to ensure solution development meets Finance department needs, ensuring complete understanding of process implications for new initiatives
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with appropriate levels of personnel across Agricorp, including management, the senior management team and non-management personnel
Job status: 12-month contract (posting for an existing vacancy)
Work status: Full time in office
Salary: $70,757 - $83,243
Location: Must live in Ontario to perform this role
Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience at the intermediate to senior level
- CPA (CA, CMA, CGA) designation preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Business Solutions, such as Microsoft Office, Dynamics GP, Power BI and IBM Cognos software preferred
