About the Opportunity
In this position, the Director, Finance will help advance the corporate finance function by leading improvements within SAP and supporting enterprise-wide system enhancements across Finance, Plant Maintenance, and Supply Chain Management. The role will bring forward innovative ideas that strengthen reporting, analysis, and operational efficiency while driving process improvements that enhance the speed, accuracy, and flexibility of accounting systems.
In addition, the Director will oversee the head office accounting function and take ownership of the corporate general ledger, financial close, and delivery of consolidated financial statements under IFRS, ensuring high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting that is timely, accurate, and supported by strong internal control discipline.

You are comfortable moving between technical accounting matters and broader business discussions, bringing both rigor and practicality to the role.
Position Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Duties
As Director, Finance**,**your accountabilities and duties will include but are not limited to:
A critical component of the mandate is close partnership with the finance teams at the Wesdome operating mine sites. The Director will ensure consistency and alignment between site-level reporting and corporate standards, fostering strong communication and standardized processes across locations. This role will bring a balance of governance and collaboration, helping operational teams translate production and cost data into reliable financial outcomes.
This position will also serve as a primary point of coordination with external auditors, working alongside the Finance Manager on quarterly reviews, the annual audit, and technical accounting and disclosure matters. The Director, Finance will ensure readiness for audit, support evolving reporting requirements associated with a public issuer, and contribute to maintaining a strong external reporting reputation.
Beyond reporting, the mandate includes continuous improvement of accounting policies, procedures, and systems. The Director, Finance is expected to identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and optimize the use of financial systems such as SAP. The role will also support special projects, corporate initiatives and quarterly Board performance presentations, providing financial analysis, insight and execution leadership where required.
Additional Accountabilities include:
Accounting & Regulatory Projects
- Lead IFRS and regulatory initiatives across the Company.
- Developing the organization’s accounting policies and procedures.
- Coach and mentor team members with best practices within their functional area.
- Conducting special studies and recommends accounting methods and procedures.
- Lead complex accounting analysis and application where appropriate.
- Working closely with internal audit, manage the finance responsibilities of ICFR requirements and implement recommendations and improvements to strengthen our corporate governance.
- Act as the finance representative for our evolving ESG initiatives.
- Support phase II of the Company’s Workiva implementation.
Treasury, Tax and Risk Management
- Support various treasury related requirements as needed, including gold sales, cash management, derivatives and debt facilities, both in execution and strategic vision.
- Oversee the preparation of Canadian statutory financial statements, corporate tax returns, and government information filings, working in conjunction with external advisors as appropriate. This includes ensuring that tax processes are well controlled, timely, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Lead corporate finance requirements relating to the company’s risk registry.
- Support the various annual insurance renewals in partnership with the VP Finance.
Systems
- Lead the evolution of the corporate finance function of SAP.
- Support various company-wide SAP enhancements including, Finance, HR, Plant Maintenance and Supply Chain Management.
- Bring new ideas to the teams that are efficient and drive optimal information, reporting and analysis.
- Design and implement process improvements that enhance the speed, accuracy and flexibility of the accounting processes and systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional accounting designation (CPA) is required.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Accounting & Finance managing across multiple regional locations.
- Experience with a broad range of finance tools such as ADP & Workiva and Concur.
- SAP expertise, including implementation, oversight and optimization.
- Bilingual English - French is an asset.
