YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Shaft Engineer, you will be part of Shaft Sinking Department. You will be responsible to ensure that the shaft construction is done as per the specifications. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Follow the daily planning done by the shaft superintendent;

  • Participation in concrete pours and steel sets installation and make sure that they done in the tolerance;

  • Ensure that the good Engineer practice is followed for the shaft construction;

  • Track all installation done in the shaft;

  • Prepare and review daily report;

  • Update drawings as required;

  • Maintain the QA/QC of the project;

  • Control the quality of survey deliverables;

  • Participate sequence for the steel installation in the shaft;

  • Make ventilation survey report;

  • Act as a liaison between the technical and operation department;

  • Ensure that the maintenance and calibration of all survey equipment are completed;

  • Promote good housekeeping, ensuring proper PPE and tools are used for all task;

  • Health and Safety compliance inspections, Job Task Observation;

  • Liaises effectively with colleagues and managers regarding various work situations and the activities within the department;

  • All other duties as may be assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Shaft Sinking experience required, minimum 8 years;

  • Engineering Technical Diploma/Degree or equivalent experience;

  • Ontario common core;

  • Teamwork and self-starting work ethic;

  • Working knowledge of mine design software (Autocad);

  • Flexibility in being able to meet requirement that may change during the day.

  • Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Upper Beaver Gold Project in Dobie, ON.

Minimum Salary :

$32.64CAD

Maximum Salary :

$87.64CAD
