Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Prince Rupert Campus, invites applications for a regular part-time (17.5hr/wk) Library Clerk role commencing August 03, 2026. We are seeking a passionate individual who wants to join us in our goal to become the college of choice for experiential, place-based learning allowing students to learn both in the classroom and in the spectacular outdoor spaces that are so unique to this part of Canada. Salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Support Staff, Level 5: $1,015.00 biweekly plus a comprehensive benefits plan.

Duties: The Library Clerk will perform library circulation functions and assists library patrons and staff to access library information
Duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

Assisting with supervision of students and monitoring student activities in the lab

Daily circulation and reference services

General maintenance of the library facility in Terrace
-
Assist students and public to find learning materials
-
Assist students with laptops and computers
-
Shelve books and materials
-
Perform word processing, filing, photocopy tasks
Qualifications
Qualifications/Skills: Grade 12 graduation (preferably some post-secondary education) along with relevant library experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office, Colleague, e-mail)
- Sound knowledge of standard library organization, terminology, and bibliographic skills
- General office skills and familiarity with computers, printers and photocopiers
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively with the public, students and other staff members
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work efficiently under pressure with multiple deadlines and frequent interruptions
