The Vice President, Product Strategy & AI Innovation is an executive leadership role responsible for shaping and executing a forward-looking product and innovation strategy. This leader will define the vision for next-generation software solutions while ensuring product investments create measurable customer and business value. The role will drive the evolution toward a product-led, AI-enabled operating model focused on intelligent automation and scalable innovation. Working closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, the VP will align product priorities with market opportunities, financial objectives, and customer needs. This position requires a strategic thinker who can connect technology, business strategy, and customer outcomes to accelerate growth. Accountabilities: The Vice President, Product Strategy & AI Innovation will lead the development and execution of enterprise product strategies, oversee portfolio decisions, and ensure innovation initiatives deliver long-term value. This role requires strong collaboration across business functions, deep market understanding, and the ability to translate customer needs and emerging technologies into actionable strategies. Define and execute a multi-year product strategy aligned with business growth objectives, market opportunities, and customer expectations. Establish the vision and roadmap for a next-generation AI-enabled software platform, including intelligent workflows, automation capabilities, and emerging technology adoption. Own product portfolio prioritization, investment decisions, lifecycle strategies, and governance processes to maximize business impact and return on investment. Build and implement a product-led operating model focused on customer discovery, clear specifications, measurable outcomes, and cross-functional alignment. Lead market intelligence efforts by engaging with customers, industry stakeholders, and partners to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive risks. Partner with Sales and Marketing teams on go-to-market strategies, positioning, pricing, packaging, and customer engagement initiatives. Analyze product performance, profitability, adoption metrics, and strategic initiatives to support informed business decisions. Lead and develop Product Management, Product Operations, Business Analysis, User Experience, and Innovation teams. Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization. Drive responsible AI adoption by evaluating emerging technologies, partnerships, and opportunities that enhance products and internal operations. Requirements: The ideal candidate brings extensive leadership experience in software, SaaS, ERP, or technology environments, with a proven ability to drive product strategy, business transformation, and innovation at scale. This role requires a combination of strategic vision, commercial expertise, technical understanding, and strong executive leadership capabilities. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent executive education preferred. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within software, SaaS, ERP, or technology-focused organizations. Demonstrated success leading product strategy, portfolio management, and business transformation initiatives. Strong understanding of enterprise software markets, recurring revenue models, and software economics. Experience developing AI-enabled products, automation solutions, or emerging technology platforms is highly desirable. Experience in commercial construction, field service, trades, ERP, or operational software markets is an asset. Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, market insight, and decision-making abilities. Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and align diverse business groups around shared objectives. Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to evaluate investments, profitability, and business outcomes. Demonstrated experience building and developing high-performing product teams. Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environments while managing competing priorities.
