About the role
In this role, you will lead end-to-end testing and delivery governance for large-scale Canadian Wealth Management transformation programs. You will serve as the Senior Test Manager, you will be responsible for defining test strategies across complex wealth management platforms, validating client onboarding, trade lifecycle processing, and regulatory mandates. You will also manage distributed testing teams and partner with senior stakeholders to ensure rigorous compliance, quality engineering, and seamless execution across enterprise initiatives.
In this role, you will
Lead end-to-end testing programs across Canadian Wealth Management platforms covering KYC, Client Onboarding, MFDA/CIRO compliance, Securities Processing, and Book of Records (BoR) modernization initiatives. Lead Securities and Wealth Operations testing, including trade lifecycle processing, settlements, reconciliations, mutual funds, equities, fixed income products, corporate actions, and advisor servicing functions. Drive regulatory testing and compliance validation for CIRO (formerly MFDA and IIROC), KYC, AML, Client Focused Reforms (CFR), suitability requirements, investor disclosures, and audit readiness. Oversee Book of Records (BoR) testing activities, validating client, account, holdings, transactions, positions, valuations, and downstream reporting data across integrated wealth management platforms. Own the testing strategy, governance, and execution roadmap for large-scale transformation, regulatory, digital, and data migration programs ensuring alignment with business and regulatory objectives. Direct multiple testing teams across onshore and offshore locations, managing resource planning, financials, estimations, schedules, quality gates, risk mitigation, and delivery governance. Establish and monitor program-level quality metrics and reporting, including defect trends, test coverage, environment readiness, execution progress, release readiness, and executive dashboards. Manage cross-functional stakeholders including Business, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product Owners, Technology Teams, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of testing milestones. Champion test automation, quality engineering, and continuous testing practices, leveraging Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, API testing, and automation frameworks to improve speed, efficiency, and quality. Provide executive leadership and program governance, presenting status, risks, dependencies, mitigation plans, and testing outcomes to senior management, steering committees, auditors, and regulatory stakeholders.
Required Skills
12-18 years in QA/Test Management with 5+ years in Canadian Wealth Management and Securities. Strong knowledge of CIRO/MFDA Regulatory Testing, KYC & Client Onboarding Testing, Securities & Capital Markets Operations, Trading, and Advisor platforms, Regulatory & Compliance Programs. Proven leadership of large-scale KYC, BoR, Regulatory Compliance, and Wealth Modernization programs. Proven experience leading large-scale QA delivery, including test strategy design, execution management, and onsite-offshore team coordination. Experience managing multi-million-dollar programs and geographically distributed testing teams. Canadian Wealth Management Domain Expertise. Book of Records (BoR) Testing & Data Validation. Test Program Management. Agile, Waterfall & Hybrid Delivery. JIRA, Confluence, ALM, SQL. Leadership, Stakeholder & Vendor Management.
Preferred Skills
Subject matter expertise in Insurance, Wealth Management, Investment or Portfolio Management. Experience leading large-scale modernization or digital transformation programs.

Total Compensation
We regularly assess market data to ensure we offer a competitive compensation package for our associates. The base salary for this position ranges between CAD 100,000 – 133,000 per year. Where the successful candidate may fall within the range depends on relevant education, work and/or management experience and other business-related and job-necessary qualifications. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual performance-based bonus, as well as benefits that support your physical, mental and financial wellbeing.
Working arrangements
We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON.
