About the role

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Director, Financial Planning and Analysis on a permanent basis on our Finance team. This position requires onsite work, with flexibility, based in Saskatoon, SK .

Are you a strategic finance leader who thrives on turning data into insight and enabling complex organizations to make forward looking decisions? This role has a direct and meaningful impact on FCL and our local Co-ops by providing financial leadership, analysis, and partnership to drive performance and financial sustainability across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS).

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee enterprise-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes to ensure financial accountability and alignment to FCL’s strategic priorities.
  • Lead FCL wide capital allocation by delivering robust financial analysis and evaluation of major capital projects, investments, and business initiatives to enable informed decision making and optimized allocation of capital.
  • Oversee a team of Finance Business Partners who act as trusted financial advisors to senior leaders, connecting operations to financial strategy through insights, education, and collaboration.
  • Work closely with Treasury, Tax, and Risk to ensure FCL’s capital structure, investment strategies, and financial risks are managed effectively to meet both short- and long-term needs.
  • Strengthen forecasting accuracy, enhance reporting tools and processes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across the Finance team.
  • Support local Co-ops with financial modelling, capital allocation, and feasibility assessments to drive sound investment decisions and sustainable growth across the CRS.

Who you’ll work with:
The Team: You will work closely with your team of Finance professionals, local Co-ops, external organizations, and regulatory authorities. You will have 6 direct reports including their teams: . You will report into the Vice President (VP), Finance and serve as a key leader in cultivating a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, collaboration and value creation across the Finance Business Unit.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Finance and :

  • Have 10+ years of relevant progressively responsible experience.
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Have a Master’s Degree, Accounting Designation or Finance Designation.
