As a Dietary Aide, you play an important role in patient care by helping ensure our patients receive safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals every day.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Help prepare and deliver meals to patients throughout the hospital
- Follow simple meal instructions and special diet guidelines (training provided)
- Keep kitchen and food service areas clean, organized, and safe
- Wash dishes and assist with basic food prep tasks
- Work as part of a friendly team to support patients, staff, and visitors
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is:
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working on their feet in a fast-paced environment
- Able to follow instructions and work safely with food
- Friendly, respectful, and patient-focused
- Available to work a variety of shifts, including some weekends and holidays
Previous food service or kitchen experience is an asset, but not required.

About West Nipissing General Hospital
The West Nipissing General Hospital is a smaller rural Hospital in Northern Ontario built in 1977. We are fully committed to the delivery of quality primary healthcare to the residents of West Nipissing and surrounding areas by providing clean, modern facilities and excellent support services. We currently have 98 beds (27 Medical/ Surgical, 2 Pediatric, 2 Enhanced Care Unit, 19 Complex Continuing Care and 48 Long-Term Care) plus a 24-hour Emergency Department. The WNGH also takes pride in our multicultural approach to patient care that is based on respect, compassion, caring and a safe healthy environment.
