You will be an integral member of both the NA Quality and Canada MSC Leadership teams. Leveraging your broad technical expertise and inspirational leadership, you will identify, define, and solve complex business problems while building a strong, sustainable quality culture. You will create alignment and connectivity across local, regional, and global quality agendas in your relentless drive for quality excellence. How you will contribute You will be the business unit quality leader on QFS related topics, ensuring products meet design, food safety and quality policy requirements. To excel in this role, you will drive implementation of regional and global strategies; identify, report, monitor and direct corrective and preventive actions associated with quality KPIs and quality compliance to our Food safety/Quality Systems, and partner with cross-functional internal and external business partners (R&D, regulatory, marketing and manufacturing) to meet our quality agenda. In addition, you will lead regional quality programs; share best practices among manufacturing sites through quality benchmarking; support special situations and early warnings with respect to plant investigations, root-cause analysis and follow-up to protect Mondelēz International and our consumers. You will be an ambassador, driving quality and sharing expertise with colleagues to ensure that quality improvement becomes an instinctive culture across the business. This position has responsibility for 1-3 direct reports, with indirect reports within internal manufacturing facilities. This position requires experience with quality and/or manufacturing, understanding of Quality & Business Systems and the ability to influence stakeholders. This position will report to the Sr Director, Quality Canada & G&G. Success in this role will require strong people and strategic leadership, working well with others, deep knowledge of quality principles / programs, strong technical skill, strong influencing skills, and a sound understanding of the commercial business. Primary Responsibilities: Influence Senior Operations & RDQ Management and lead the development and implementation of a manufacturing quality strategic plan that sets a strong Quality direction for the Manufacturing network. Deliver continuous improvement across manufacturing network through new tools / application, network benchmarking and leveraging cross-category, cross-region collaboration to ensure product design processes, consumer complaints and quality systems are best in class. Responsible for Commercial Quality priorities with heavy R&D linkage Drive the successful implementation of quality policies, programs, tools and technologies that position Quality as a competitive advantage. Leverage shared services to enable achievement of manufacturing goals. Ensure preparedness for internal and 3rd party audits. Build and lead a high-performing quality team by fostering a "Great Place to Work and Grow" — setting clear expectations, investing in coaching and career development through succession planning and PDPs, and creating an inclusive environment where people are empowered, engaged, and accountable for delivering quality results. Actively driving Quality Pillar / Lean Six Sigma initiatives for the function as part of the Lean Six Sigma Journey established across the company. Work with plants to improve and provide necessary training and development in product knowledge, process technology, process control, optimization techniques, QP’s and Mondelez competencies to increase employee effectiveness and achieve optimum performance levels. Ensure direct staff is properly trained, focused and viewed as exceptional partners to the plants and external manufacturers. Take a leadership role in risk assessment activity throughout the value chain and report on areas of improvement, following up on progress, and proactively assisting in issue resolution and elimination to assure that established company quality standards are consistently met with a primary focus on Food Safety programs. Leverage Center Quality resources in Food Safety, Sanitation, Audit and Supplier Quality and collaborate on BU priorities. Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and customers at the BU level. Role requirements A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: B.S./M.S. with concentration in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering or related field Travel: Ability to travel locally within the GTA; with occasional US travel. Minimum 8-10 years of related experience (Operations and/or RDQ) with demonstrated technical and managerial ability Excellent vision & strategy, leadership, interpersonal skills, courage, and problem-solving skills Extensive knowledge of Quality Principles, Quality Programs and Policies Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization within corporate and manufacturing settings Salary and Benefits: The expected base salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible to participate in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement (based on performance and company results), and a long term incentive program.
